 "Freakonomics"

Dear ELC Friends,  Clients & XING Shanghai Community Members:

You are cordially invited to join us to a monthly joint event of Executive Learning Center & XING Shanghai Community.  The objective of this event, which features "Freakonomics," is to enhance learning through open sharing of knowledge and experiences for everyone's gain.  


This month, we feature Mr. Yi Xue Song, an economist and a member of our community.  Mr. Song will introduce various principles in economics that relate to our daily lives in a humorous way.  Based on his observation and analysis, he will share with us the realities of the China economy that could lead us to understanding, for instance,  the correlation between real estate  prices and prices of food.

In thi s event, he will also cover topics such as:

  • What is economic development?
  • What is foreign trade?
  • What is inflation?
  • Can real estate prices kidnap Chinese economy?
  • What is the relationship between real estate price and inflation?
  • Share what you learnt to your colleagues with confidence and enthusiasm

Agenda:  

2:00 - 2:30 pm      Check - in & Networking
2:30 - 3:15 pm       Mr.  Song's Talk
3:15 - 3:45 pm       Open discussion and reflection
4:00 pm              Event ends formally, networking continues

Fee:  No entrance fee; guests pay for their own drinks and meals
