Paul Miller Foundation

Executive Learning Center's Ramil Cueto and Julia Feng and along with many other friends of Paul's bade goodbye to a dear friend and an honorable man. Paul Miller died with his boots on. On 29th July 2005, two days later after delivering his last training program at the Executive Learning Center's Community Gathering at the Westin, Paul succumbed to heart attack.

Paul, known to his friends and colleagues, had a passion for training and improving public speaking abilities. Though, we had known Paul for a very short period of time, we have been influenced by his work ethics and endearing qualities. A hard-working man, who did not agree to deliver a training that he is not comfortable with, Paul gave his best in preparing, designing and delivering his programs. And he believed in the effectiveness of rehearsals. We recalled how we won a significant deal with Paul and our two other trainers. We rehearsed three to four times before we presented. On the spot, the client gave us this project.

But one thing we learned about Paul was his interest to teach the Chinese children in his neighborhood how to speak English. Through a game called Monopoly, he taught them the words, concepts and good manners, e.g saying "thank you" and "please."  Paul was a very creative person and a man with a big heart.

We love Paul; he will always be in our hearts. And we thank God above all that during the last few days of his life, we had a chance to see him once or twice a week. Executive Learning Center is setting up the "The Paul Miller Foundation" to continue the works and interests that Paul left unfinished. Every year, we will set aside a percentage of our company revenue to support his foundation and the projects he wanted to do such as teaching young Chinese to learn English and making organizations like Toast Master grow and become a venue for excellent public speaking.

If you knew Paul and had worked with him and interested to support this cause, please contact us.  Thank you.
